About Minkee
One More Rep London is a personal training practice in downtown London, Ontario. I'm Minkee Kim, owner and head coach with an Honours B.A. in Kinesiology from Western University. Over the past 10 years, I've worked with more than 850 clients ranging from complete beginners to competitive athletes, including individuals managing Parkinson's, MS, Alzheimer's, and post-amputation rehabilitation. Over the years, my work has been recognized by the London community, voting me Best Personal Trainer three years in a row.
Background
- Founder & Head Coach, One More Rep London | Since 2022
- Top Ranked Personal Trainer, 18 MOVATI Athletic Clubs | 6+ years
- Clinical Training Experience, Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic | 7+ years
- Military Service, Armed Forces – Infantry | 2 years
- Honours B.A. in Kinesiology, Western University
- Athletic Therapy Experience, Western Junior Mustangs Football | 3 years
My experience spans 6+ years at MOVATI London North as a top-three trainer across 18 clubs, 7 years volunteering at Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic, 2 years of military service, and 3 years as a Student Therapist for Western's Varsity Junior Mustangs Football. This breadth means I've worked with the 25-year-old preparing for military selection and the 70-year-old managing arthritis using the same fundamental understanding. The principles don't change – progressive overload, appropriate frequency, and adequate recovery apply universally. What changes is the application based on individual constraints and goals.

Training Philosophy
I treat fitness as the means to achieving human potential, and the gym as the training ground where you build the physical and mental strength to do more. This doesn't mean motivational speeches or pushing through pain. It means systematic programming based on how your body actually functions, education about what drives adaptation, and consistent work over time. Every exercise has a clear biomechanical rationale. Every progression follows documented principles. Your program is designed to force tissue adaptation that improves actual physical capacity, not just make you feel accomplished after each session.

What It’s Like to Train Here
Our Difference
Evidence-Based Approach
Every decision derives from exercise physiology principles including progressive overload, periodization, specificity, and load management, rather than trends or popular methods.
Kinesiology-Based Assessment:
Comprehensive evaluation of how you move, where restrictions exist, and what compensations have developed. This assessment informs every programming decision instead of using generic templates.
Multiple Formats
In-person training at our downtown London facility, online coaching throughout Canada, and hybrid programs combining both allow clients to choose what fits their situation.
Specialized Certifications
Fascial stretch therapy, older adult training, prenatal and postpartum exercise, Olympic lifting, advanced sports nutrition, and back stability integration provide comprehensive knowledge for diverse client needs.
Take the First Step
Your free consultation includes movement assessment, discussion of your goals, and an honest evaluation of whether One More Rep London fits your needs - all in about 45 minutes. You'll discover restrictions limiting your progress and understand what systematic training can accomplish.
